Job Description:
* Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery. Operate tools in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
* Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations. Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties.
* Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
* Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
* Maintain a safe and clean work space
* Documenting testing activities and specifications of electrical components and systems
* Installation: Install wiring, lighting systems, electrical outlets, circuit breakers, and other components necessary for electrical systems. They follow blueprints, electrical codes, and safety regulations to ensure installations are done accurately and safely.
* Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly and efficiently. They also troubleshoot and repair electrical issues such as short circuits, faulty wiring, and malfunctioning equipment.
* Inspections: Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with building codes, and verify proper functioning. They may also perform inspections for new construction or renovations to ensure electrical systems meet specifications.
* Upgrades and Modifications: Responsible for upgrading or modifying existing electrical systems to meet the changing needs of a building or facility. This can involve installing new equipment, adding additional outlets, or upgrading to more energy-efficient components.
* Safety: Safety is paramount in the work of electricians. They must adhere to safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow established procedures to prevent accidents and injuries while working with electricity.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into building projects and meet the required specifications.
* Compliance: Electricians must stay up-to-date with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
