Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to fill a position at our Fremont site. 

About the position:

E Ink is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join our Optical Engineering and Automation team to develop advanced optical measurement systems and implement automation solutions in both hardware, including robotic features, and software, to effectively meet the dynamic needs of our advanced research and enhance working efficiency.

Responsibilities:

•  Work closely with other team members to design and implement new electro-optical measurement systems and adapt existing systems to improve accuracy, repeatability, speed, and throughput as needed.
•  Undertake the maintenance and troubleshooting of our existing robotic electro-optical measurement systems.
• Investigate root causes and conduct system analysis.

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree in engineering related fields.
•  Must be familiar with basic lab instrumentation (soldering station, oscilloscope, multimeter)
•  Must be familiar with MATLAB/ Python/ LabVIEW/SolidWorks (or similar software suites)
•  Exhibiting high energy, a self-driven attitude, and a proactive nature, with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent root cause analysis skills, teamwork, and communication skills
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with academic research.
• Experience with image processing in Python/MATLAB
• Experience with building and debugging hardware circuits for automation or similar applications
• Experience with NI DAQ devices.

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $30-$40 for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
