Avionics/Electrical Engineer IV – Authorized Person

Your Role:
As an Avionics/Electrical Engineer IV and an Authorized Person, you’ll play a critical role in the design, certification, and safety of avionics and electrical systems for Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will leverage your expertise to:

  • Certify avionics/electrical systems and equipment per Transport Canada (TC) standards.
  • Review and approve design documentation and conduct engineering inspections.
  • Oversee ground and flight certification testing.
  • Act as a technical liaison with customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering skill development within the team.

Requirements

  • Certification Expertise: Currently or recently hold a TC airworthiness delegation or equivalent, eligible for delegation as an Authorized Person (AP).
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering (advanced degrees are an asset).
  • Industry Knowledge: At least 10 years of aviation engineering experience, including 7 years in aircraft certification. Familiarity with FAR Part 23/25 aircraft; experience with Part 27/29 helicopters is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
  • Travel Readiness: Open to domestic and international travel.
