As Associate Electrical Engineer you will bring electrical engineering and integrated team delivery experience in the mission critical sector to contribute to the overall tactical leadership of the Stantec Building Services team, helping to grow and lead the existing mission critical engineering practice in the UK and EMEA.

 

You will lead strategic projects, be client facing, responsible for business development, contribute to project delivery standards and work processes, provide quality control, workload forecasting, financial performance accountability and collaboration with other disciplines. You will support business development including but not limited to establishing new business, maintaining existing accounts, reviewing proposals, client management and participating in projects where technical or client advisement/oversight is needed.

 

About You


You will hold a degree in a relevant discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar, and Chartered with a relevant institution IET/CIBSE.


A proven track record in an M&E team ideally gained within a design engineering consultancy, specifically working within the Data Centre / Mission Critical sector is essential.


You will also have the necessary skills and experience to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders where you will be working closely with clients, and other professional staff across multi-disciplinary business groups.


You will have in depth knowledge and expertise in the design of electrical engineering services, including systems and equipment design, calculations and drawing production as well as an understanding of design tools such as Revit and IES. You will have knowledge and understanding of the wider built environment and the associated design influences, coupled with understanding of the legislative environment including carbon emissions reduction and sustainability. You will also have an appreciation and experience of Technical Standards, planning policies and relevant British Standards and Building Regulations
