IronMountain Solutions is seeking a Software Electrical Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO). The HMIF PO will collaboratively develop two complex HMIF formations, one integrated formation for an Armored BCT and one formation for an Infantry BCT within 27 months.  The Robotic Controller Integrator will ensure the HMIF common controller aligns with stakeholder requirements and has a smooth transition plan to onramp to a Program of Record office post prototype development. 

Job Duties:

• Integration of HMIF Common Controller.


• Leading Controller Integration.


• Work/interface with and support DOTmLPF-P stakeholders across the HMI enterprise.


• HMIF Common Controller interface requirements development, design, transition plan stakeholder coordination.


• Advising, coordinating, scheduling, and remaining abreast of engineering and technical support activities applicable to the Common Controller sub-system development and capability integration.


• Provide integrated multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.


• Participate in the development and execution of test strategies.


• Ascertain HMIF Common Controller Technology Readiness Level.


• Participate in Common Controller budgetary discussions.


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. 

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience applying integration principles across both hardware and software systems. Fewer years of experience will be considered based on complexity and success of the experience.


• Requirements development and decomposition.


• Experience in user interface design, hardware, and/or software.


• Engineering Integration of systems of systems, systems, and sub-systems levels.


• ICD and IOP development.


• Testing Experience.


• Experience in the skills and responsibility areas described above.


• Active Secret Clearance.


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Program Management related field of study.


• Ability to work on, and/or lead, multi-functional/multi-disciplinary teams.


• Ability to develop test plans and lead testing execution of HMIF Common Controller at system level as part of the HMIF systems of systems.


• Ability to apply the DoD acquisition process and author DoD acquisition documentation including systems engineering plans, and Performance Based Specifications.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes.


• Superior writing skill inclusive of developing technical system-level specifications.


• Excellent communications skills including the ability to generate and deliver focused briefings on complex topics to senior leaders.

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
